Tokoriki Resort was all we imagined and more ... The food was divine, the staff
amazingly friendly, no kids (ha ha ha), lots of privacy, a fantastic bure, and peace and quiet.
And then there's the island itself. Gorgeous white sand beach and crystal clear water. Our honeymoon bure was set up in the bush with views through the palm trees to the ocean ... We spent our days lying on the beach or by the pool, reading lots of books, swimming, eating and drinking and needless to say, doing what honeymooners the world over do! We spent a day on our own deserted island beach, snorkelling, sunbathing and eating the yummy cold meats, salad and fruit. Beer and bubbly topped it off. Then back to Tokoriki for a romantic dinner in the moonlight on a platform overlooking the ocean. And that was just Monday...sigh...

Bula! to all our friends at Tokoriki Island! We spent several beautiful days in paradise with you ... truly the most relaxing, peaceful, tranquil place on earth . . . maybe it is heaven (?) We had a fabulous time honeymooning in Tokoriki. The island was beautiful, the weather was great, and the sunsets spectacular, but what will linger in our memories most are the wonderful people and the MUSIC. The staff was genuinely warm and helpful without being intrusive, which made Tokoriki different from any other place we have stayed (in Fiji or elsewhere.) Their music came from the heart--it did not feel as if the were merely going through the motions to entertain us "tourists" ...

Bula! Many thanks to everyone who made our stay at Tokoriki so special. We have been sharing the Tokoriki secret with all our Ozzie friends, letting them know how helpful and friendly the Tokoriki staff are and how beautiful the island is. We felt more like members of a family than paying guests. We'll be back!
